This journal contains some language...mostly near the end. I say that in case any kids are reading this. Anyway, on to the rant!

I absolutely HATE Best Buy

Not saying that they're entirely useless...I bought my laptop from them after all. However, most people would probably agree that their customer service leaves something to be heavily desired. I feel like they're harassing me when I'm looking at video games. It gets worse whenever I look at something bigger. To be fair, they have people everywhere who ask if you need anything, but they usually leave you alone after you say no! Sometimes I wish I could say,"No. Now get the hell away from me!"
On Black Friday, I decided to do their in-store pickup. I've used it before and I feel it's quite useful. It doesn't save a ton of time, but still, it's usually nice. I ordered some stuff and waited for the confirmation e-mail that it was ready. Two hours later, I was still waiting! It normally only takes 45 minutes at the most. I checked the order status and it said it was ready. I thought about just printing the order and taking it there, but I wasn't sure if they'd accept it. I called customer service and spent 15 minutes on the phone just to have them tell me what I was thinking about doing in the first place!

That was useless. I didn't complain, though. I just printed out the sheet and took it to Best Buy. I got the e-mail about 30 minutes later. I figured it was just because it was Black Friday and didn't think much of it. I should've known better.
Today was Cyber Monday (for those of you who don't know, it's basically Black Friday on the Internet). I saw Best Buy's website had free shipping on orders over $25. I saw a game that I wanted, but couldn't buy in the store, so that was a perfect opportunity. I also saw another game that caught my attention. It was backordered on the site, but available in stores. I bought the one game that wasn't in stores and had it shipped. Then, like an idiot, I did the in-store pickup for the other item.

I had a meeting at work, so I figured I'd do the pickup at the Best Buy closer to my job rather than my house to save a little time.
Once again, I started to feel something was off when an hour went by and I didn't get an e-mail. I figured the e-mail wasn't working right again and surely it would be there when I was done with the meeting. If not, I would have a SERIOUS bone to pick with Best Buy. I didn't have time to check the order status after the meeting. I could at Best Buy...and they still had done NOTHING!

It had been four freaking hours!
I went over to customer service. I had to explain what was going on to the employee three times...I still don't think that stupid bitch understood. Well, I was pissed off because it had been a waste of time, so I demanded a refund. She got her manager and they gave me some bullshit excuse that they couldn't give me one.

However, they said they would check to see if anyone got it...but they didn't. Once again, I demanded a refund and they told me that the only way I could get it is if I didn't get it for like a week. I got fed up and left. When I got home, I saw that you could cancel it by sending an e-mail, which I did. We'll see if they do or if I'll have to wait a week to get my money back.
Needless to say, I don't think I'm going to Best Buy very much anymore. The electronic choices around here are kind of limited, though. I'm usually not patient enough to wait for an Internet order, which is a problem. If I can wait, I do order it online, either on Amazon or eBay. My main choices for game shopping are as follows:
GameStop-I only use them for preorders mostly or if it's something I absolutely cannot live without
Target-Bad selection
K-Mart-Same deal
Wal-Mart-Better selection than Target and K-Mart, but I don't really like Wal-Mart.
And that concludes my Best Buy rant!
